Can you sense my frustration?

Some people probably already know that this is my style (especially when we're near the end of a school term). When I get frustrated, I just take out all the subbing progresses and go in hiding (simply becoming non-responsive - not reading messages and not responding to them). However, Zahra has convinced me to clarify everything to the public just in case I do go in hiding for the next 2-3 weeks.

When releases get stuck like this, you're NOT the only one who is frustrated. I've already done all that I can to keep the projects moving. If the current situation is a result of my bad organization, I admit my fault, I apologize to everyone for this, and I am trying my best to resolve it.

If you want me to describe the current situation, then we have met a bottleneck. I hope that you can understand how things have become very unpredictable when we near the end of a school term. I have to wait for the completion of each part just like you do. However, it is unfair and impolite to ask a subber who is currently subbing a part to SPEED UP their subbing progress and neglect their school work.

Being the person I am, I would NEVER take a new project if we don't have the ability to do so. Why does My Lucky Star seem to be moving while the others are not? The first few episodes just happen to be subbed by subbers who has free time. At the current state, cutting a project down will not speed up the OTHER releases. Things are progressing, but just not as promptly as before.

We are not lacking subbers to complete projects because if we are, then we could simply recruit for more. It is our system that is the cause of this delay. However, it is this very system that works best for us for both organizing and producing quality subs. No design is perfect, and there is always a trade-off to everything (quality versus speed). I am sorry that we cannot meet the demands of all our viewers...

WOW...WOW! WOW! WOW! We're finally over the halfway mark in this project. Sorry about the small delay to this episode. Paula was trying to be a perfectionist in encoding the video. Anyway, I've checked the vid, Paula checked the vid, and it looks good enough to both of us. I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope that the audio IS indeed in sync. Sorry, we couldn't really check that well when we're at work and school...ahahaha...but I snuck out my headphones during class to hear it, and the 10 seconds that I watched, it seems to be fine :)

Episode 4 on TORRENT is A OK!

So I told Paula to cut me a 10-minute piece of episode 4 from his original to check if I could play it and it plays perfectly fine while I encode, run photoshop, and have 6 tabs open in my web browser. After conducting a mini survey in the SUBlimes' forum, I suspected that the files on DDLs were different from the original file on torrent. Indeed, they were:

It seems that an incomplete file was uploaded to the DDLs (yes, on BOTH DDLs...*glares at Zahra*). For those who have already downloaded the incomplete file on DDL, you can complete the file through BT:

1. Download torrent from d-addicts: download me

2. Load torrent into your favorite BT client and point to the incomplete file.

3. Make sure that it does a hash check (if not, force it!)

4. It should then say that you have 87.6% of the file (according to my client and the file that I got from gigasize)

5. Download away

I've checked with Paula. Episode 4 was encoded the same way as episode 3 and Hana Kimi 8. If you were able to play those, then you will be able to play this.

In debugging mode

Is episode 4 freezing on you? You're not alone. Our two-person encoding team is working hard to solve this problem. If you're experiencing playback problems right now, all I have to say is... Corner With Love episode 4 is too HOT for your CPU to handle. People with high processing power should be okay with playing the file. People who do not...are the unlucky ones :(

We are in the process of examining our encoding procedures and techniques. So far, we have some idea as to where it might have gone wrong, but we are not 100% certain.

Sorry for the inconvenience that we have caused. We will post again when we have further knowledge regarding this issue.
